With two hours of instruction and an hour of guided practice, this is a fantastic way to learn a new dance style in a fun and friendly environment!

Schedule and Workshop Descriptions

2:00 - 2:15 pm: Welcome/Registration

2:15 - 3:15 pm: Workshop #1 - Get Down With Your Blues!

In this class, Kiel and Jody will teach the basics of blues dance movement. Feeling the beat and rhythm of a song, and how to translate that into a smooth and grounded step, both solo and partnered. Once you've gotten groovy with each other, more movements will be added such as partnered movement across a dance floor and a basic blues turn.

3:15 - 3:30 pm: Break

3:30 - 4:30 pm: Workshop #2 - All About The Connection!

In this class, Kiel and Jody will continue to expand on blues basics while adding in the closed embrace partnered connection and talking about consent within the dance.

4:30 - 5:30 pm: Guided Dance Practice (practice all your new moves).
