90’s Hip Hop

Cristina Simonetta is a dancer, teacher and choreographer from Toronto, Canada. Cristina began her dance training at an early age in studio where she trained in Ballet, Jazz, Acro, Hip-Hop and Lyrical. She competed in dance competitions throughout Canada and the United States. She attended York University’s Fine Arts Dance program training in ballet and modern, and there grew her love for world dance studies. During this time Cristina began her teaching career, teaching at dance studios and community centers in the Toronto area.

In 2016, she founded X Choreography, where she created programs and choreography for school workshops and events. One of her proudest moments to date is taking her team to perform halftime at multiple Toronto Raptors games. Cristina most recently took her love for dance to the Dominican Republic where she worked as the choreographer for a hotel resort, and taught a series of dance workshops. There she continued her love for Latin dance, training in Bachata and Merengue.

Cristina’s goal is to always stay true to her style and providing a positive dance environment. She hopes to keep creating for years to come, and inspiring others to do the same.
