Dianne Montgomery works as a choreographer, instructor and dancer. She has presented her choreography in the United States and Canada, and has performed throughout North America and Europe.

She has been commissioned for two major works in 2020, as part of an esteemed national dance festival, and at the Toronto International Tap Dance Festival at Harbourfront Centre. In 2019 she privately coached first soloist Chelsey Meiss Fain of National Ballet of Canada in her role as the Mad Hatter in the National Ballet’s Alice in Wonderland in March, was an Open Studio artist for Fall for Dance North at Union Station in June, premiered original work at Citadel + Compagnie’s Night/Shift in October, contributed to Rhythm&Sound’s [Cinq]opation at the Meridan Theatre in October and was a member of the faculties for this year’s Toronto Rhythm Initiative, Tapfest and Eastern Canadian Tap Conference. In December she taught residencies in Washington DC and Calgary.

Her choreography has been presented at the Montreal Tap Dance Festival, the Eastern Canadian Tap Conference, at CanStage for the Toronto-based project Rhythm and Sound, for PRIDE Toronto, in showcases for the Toronto Rhythm Initiative, for which she was a founding member.

She has performed with tap companies Turn On the Tap and T.O. Tap, as well as on numerous independent projects.
